وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ” أَغْلِقُوا الْبَابَ ” . فَذَكَرَ بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِ اللَّيْثِ غَيْرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ ” وَخَمِّرُوا الآنِيَةَ ” . وَقَالَ ” تُضْرِمُ عَلَى أَهْلِ الْبَيْتِ ثِيَابَهُمْ ” .
Jabir reported Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) as saying:
Shut the doors; the rest of the hadith is the same but with a slight variation of wording: Cover the utensils, and further said: It (the mouse) may set fire to the clothes of the residents of the house.
