وَحَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِمِثْلِ حَدِيثِهِمْ وَقَالَ “ وَالْفُوَيْسِقَةُ تُضْرِمُ الْبَيْتَ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ ” .
This hadith has been reported on the authority of Jabir through another chain of transmitters but with a slight variation of words:
” The mouse may set the house on fire over its inhabitants.”
